Special Announcements
No longer meeting at OSU
As you may have already heard, we will no longer be
holding our monthly meetings on the campus of the
Ohio State University. OSU is downsizing its Industrial
Technologies program and is renovating the shop for other
uses. If you have any suggestions concerning future meeting
locations, please leave a message for the Steering Committee
by clicking on the appropriate link at the top of this page.
We will post updates here as well as in the newsletter when
we have additional information to share.

August 2008 newsletter is now available
Congratulations to our recently elected officers
The Central Ohio Woodturners held its annual election of officers during
the regular monthly meeting on May 13th. The newly elected officers are:
Chuck Kemp, President; Bruce Kerns, Vice President; Nancy Kerns, Secretary;
and Craig Wright, Treasurer. Barbara Crockett will remain as a member of the
Steering Committee as Past President.
Ron Damon honored as our most recent Life Member
The Steering Committee traditionaly honors one of our members each year by
awarding a life membershp. Ron Damon has been selected as our 2008 award
winner. Past honorees include: Walt Betley, Jack and Jean Hock, Freddy Dutton, and
Floyd Anstaett.

2008 AAW Symposium information

for preliminary information on the 2008 Symposium to be held in
Richmond, Virginia. You might want to visit this site every couple of weeks
to keep informed on the planning for this Symposium. Because of space
limitations in the banquet facilities, attendance at the banquet will be
limited. Banquet tickets must be purchased separately from the symposium
registration, so if you wish to attend the banquet, make sure you sign up
early.
